Multiple Accidents on Route 6

January 06, 2009

On the evening of January 6th AVFD received a call for assistance by Dorset VFD for an MVA with entrapment. Rescue 117 responded and arrived on scene to find a pickup truck on its' roof with extrication in progress by Dorset VFD. The crew from AVFD assisted with extrication and transport of the patient to the ambulance. While 117 was on its' way back to the station it received radio traffic of another MVA just West of the RR tracks on Route 6. 117 stopped and assisted with removal of the driver through the windshield with the use of the Glassmaster, there were no injuries on the second accident.
