Capsized Boats on Pymatuning Lake

Shortly after 3pm, crews were dispatched to Pymatuning Lake for a capsized boat with possible 5-6 victims. Units responded and found 4 canoes overturned and 6 victims. All victims were rescued quickly. While operating on the lake, multiple other vessels capsized from the high wind and waves. Rescue Boats also assisted and checked the welfare of multiple other also. Crews operated on the lake for close to 3 hours. Great Job by all the emergency responders involved!

Responding on the incident were crews from North Shenango FD, Linesville VFD, Andover VFD, Jamestown VFD, Crawford Co. Dive Team, Summit Ambulance, Conneaut Lake Ambulance, Pierpont Ambulance, Meadville Ambulance, Pymatuning Ambulance, DCNR, PA Fish & Boat, and Ohio Fish & Boat.
