Rollover on Rt 322

June 21, 2010

Just after 3:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon AVFD received a call for an 18 wheeler rolled over on Route 322 with entrapment and fire. Engines 101 and 105 responded and Jamestown VFD was also dispatched. PAS first arrived on scene and found that the driver had self extricated and the small amount of fire that was present was extinguished by an Ashtabula County Sheriff's Deputy who was in the area. Jamestown VFD was canceled at this time. AVFD crews applied oil dry to leaking fluids and used a pressurized water can to ensure all fire was out. Cleared and returned about an hour later.
